- Oak Hill High School senior Nathan Boyer will don the Forester green and white for Coach Russ Lawson and
his soccer program at Huntington University this fall. Boyer
anchored a defensive unit that contributed to one of the Golden
Eagle’s most successful seasons in recent years. As center back, he
demonstrated the ability and discipline needed to play anywhere on
the back line at the college level.
Coach Lawson notes,
“I am looking forward to working with Nathan because he is the type
of athlete that gives you his all. He brings an intensity and work
rate that will serve him well as he looks to develop his game and
ultimately impact our program. Off the field, Nathan will explore
the medical field, and judging from the effort he puts forth in
athletic competition, he should have a successful collegiate
experience as a Forester.”
Nathan is the son of John and Carole Boyer from Converse, Ind. He
will be joining his brother Matt, a junior keeper for HU, on the Foresters'
2008-09 roster.
Huntington University is a Christian liberal arts university
located in Huntington, Ind., with an enrollment of approximately
1100 students. Athletically, HU competes in fourteen NAIA and
Mid-Central Conference intercollegiate sports for men and women. |
