02.29.08 - Huntington University Men’s Soccer Coach Russ Lawson announced that Huntington North High School senior Todd Fiedler has signed a letter of intent to play soccer for the Foresters this fall.

“We are very excited that Todd will continue his career at Huntington,” said Lawson. “He is a tenacious midfielder who reads the game well and has the ability to distribute and generate offense. ”Fiedler’s senior season for the Vikings ended before it began as he suffered a season-ending injury in Huntington North’s first game. “We are encouraged to see that Todd has completely healed, which leads us to believe that he will have a fantastic career here at HU.”  Lawson adds.

Off the field, Todd’s academic prowess speaks for itself as he will enter as a HU Honor Student. “Although he has yet to commit to a major we know that Todd will make a positive impact on campus.”

Fiedler is the son of Greg and Jodi, who are both alums of the university.  He follows directly in his father’s footsteps, who played soccer for the Foresters from 1978-82.

Huntington University is a Christian liberal arts college located in Huntington, IN, with an enrollment of approximately 1100 students.  Athletically, Huntington competes in fourteen NAIA intercollegiate sports for both men and women and is a member of the Mid-Central Conference.
