University soccer coach Russ Lawson announced the addition of
Steffen Shannon to the
2008 roster. This Temple Christian senior is yet another solid
piece to a very talented incoming class. Prior to his final season
at Temple Christian, Shannon honed his skills at powerhouse Findlay
High School, where he was named to the All-Conference and
All-District teams his sophomore and junior seasons. While at
Findlay, he had the privilege of playing in two state championship
games, and he gained valuable experience leading his Pacesetter
soccer club at the premier level in the US Youth Soccer Midwest
Regional League.
“Steffen has a
tremendous upside with his size, touch and experience,” said Coach
Lawson. “I am looking forward to having him bring a work rate that
will enable him to compete for minutes in our midfield and front
line.”
As
a student-athlete, he will look to focus his studies on business and
economics. Steffen is the son of Bridgett and William Shannon from
Lima, Ohio.
