11.01.08 - A bad loss to Indiana Wesleyan University back in late September was obviously on the minds of the Foresters as they headed to Marion to take on the Wildcats in their first round MCC Tournament game.  This time it took overtime to decide a winner, but unfortunately, it was IWU that got the 1-0 win with a goal in the second minute of the extra period.

"This was a masterful performance by the team tonight," said Coach Lawson. "Every ball was challenged, we tactically kept our shape, and we generated a handful of quality scoring opportunities that could have sent us through to the next round. We turned some heads tonight and we gave our fans an effort that was truly inspiring."

The Wildcats outshot HU 15-3 for the game and had seven corner kicks to just two for the Foresters.  HU keeper Kevin Keske recorded five saves in the match.

With the loss, HU concludes its season with a 6-11-2 record.  Freshman forward Steven Roberts who scored six goals and dished out four assists during the season was named to the MCC All-Conference Second Team.
