| 09.20.08 - In the
82nd minute of a scoreless game, HU's
Adam McLaughlin
took a
pass
from Taylor Zeman, cut across the top of the 18 and then struck a
brilliant shot past Moody Bible Institute's keeper to lift the
Foresters to the 1-0 win.
HU's victory spoiled
what otherwise was a memorable weekend for Moody's head coach and
former HU coach, Joe Harding, who was celebrating
30 years of coaching excellence with family, friends, and former
players.
"Despite a sluggish start, we were able to come away with a victory,
said Coach Lawson. "I was pleased with our second half play.
We moved the ball quicker and we used the entire park creating many
quality shots. Moody is a tenacious, disciplined team and to go on
the road and get a positive result is a good day."
The Foresters move to 3-4-1 on the
season with the win and now look forward to the beginning of
conference play as they host Grace College on Tuesday, September
23rd at 4:00 p.m. |
