10.03.09 - Playing some of their best ball of the year, the Foresters took Taylor to double overtime but couldn't come away with the win. The Trojans recorded the 2-1 victory to keep HU winless in the conference.

With Taylor's leading scorer going down early in the match, Huntington took control of the first half outshooting Taylor 6-3.  Unfortunately the Foresters weren't able to capitalize on any of their scoring opportunities and headed into halftime empty handed.

Five minutes into the second half Taylor scored to go up 1-0.  The Trojan momentum continued as a Forester      player picked up his second yellow card of the match forcing Huntington to play the remainder of the game a man down.

The Foresters pulled together and continued to pressure Taylor. HU's persistence finally paid off at the 70:47 mark when Adam McLaughlin tied things up off an assist from Taylor Zeman. With the scored tied 1-1 at the end of regulation, the game headed to overtime.

Four minutes into the second overtime Taylor's leading scorer, who had returned to the contest 20 minutes earlier, netted the game-winning goal dashing the Forester hopes of their first conference win.

The Foresters outshot the Trojans 15-9.  Keeper Kevin Keske recorded 5 saves.

With this loss, the Foresters drop to 8-5 on the season, 0-4 in conference.  Huntington will travel to #10 Bethel College on Wednesday.
