10.07.09 - In a well-played game the Pilots came up with the 3-1 win over the Foresters.

Playing against the #12 ranked team in the country, the Foresters didn't back down from the challenge. They held Bethel scoreless through much of the first half until Bethel standout Romulo Nobrega scored his first goal of evening at the 38:47 mark.  He went on to record a hat trick scoring in the 56th minute and then again in the 57th minute.  George Halim finally got HU in the scoring column on a breakaway from Taylor Zeman at the 65:43 mark.  HU Keeper Kevin Keske played a great game recording 13 saves on the day.

"
Bethel is a dynamic team that can break you down in so many ways. I am proud of the boys because they kept battling defensively and had the determination to attack tonight," commented Coach Lawson.  "We will learn from this one and be ready to go against Spring Arbor next Wednesday."

With this loss, the Foresters drop to 8-6 on the season, 0-5 in conference.  Huntington will host Spring Arbor next Wednesday.
