off a tough loss to IPFW, the Foresters bounced back to blank
Bluffton University 3-0. Defender Marvin Martinez got HU on the
board 35 minutes into the game with a header directly off a corner
kick by Justin Brown. Fifteen minutes later George Halim found the
back of the net off a beautiful combination play with both strikers
at the heart of the Beaver defense allowing Halim to sneak in for
the score off a Steven McKay pass. Less than three minutes later HU
put the game out of reach when Taylor Zeman placed a penetrating
ball in behind that Halim was able to put away for his second score
of the game.
HU outshot Bluffton 17-5. “Our guys put forth a fantastic effort
today. I felt like this was a decisive game that we had to have and
the boys controlled tempo all match,” said Coach Lawson. “George
had an excellent day finishing and our pressure and organization was
great as we limited Bluffton to only a few opportunities.”
