- The men’s tennis team downed the Anderson University Ravens 7-2
to pick up their second win of the season. HC swept the doubles, and
then took four of six singles with relative ease. Four Foresters were
double winners in the match. Tyler Moore teamed with Daron Short for
the 8-3 win at #1 doubles and then won 6-0, 6-2 at #1 singles. Mitchell
McDonald and Brian Lambright picked up the 9-8 win at #2 doubles and then
both won their singles handily with McDonald giving up just one game and
Lambright giving up two. Jason Stump was the fourth to pick up two
wins. He teamed with Brandon Curtis for the 8-0 win at #3 doubles and
then won 6-0, 6-2 at #3 singles. “I am very happy for Tyler and
Mitch,” said Coach Turner. “They have been our top two players all
year and have faced a great deal of adversity. I am glad that they were
able to play so well.” The win moves the Foresters to 2-7 on the
season. |
