09.30.06 - The Foresters split a pair of MCC matches on the weekend defeating Grace College 8-1 and losing to Indiana Wesleyan University 7-2.

In Friday's match, HU swept the doubles' matches with Tyler Moore and Brian Lambright edging Landon Reifsnider and Jason Sells 9-8 at #1.  At #2 doubles, Daron Short and Mitchell McDonald won handily at 8-1 and Dustin Ecker and Adam Widener won by the same score at #3.

In singles' play, the Foresters won five of the six matches to earn their first MCC victory of the season.  McDonald had no trouble at #2 winning 6-0, 6-0 and Short won a three-setter 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 at #3.  Ecker got the straight set victory 7-6, 6-2 at #4, Lambright went 6-2, 6-1 for the win at #5 and Widener had an easy time at #6 with his 6-0, 6-1 victory.

On Saturday, HU struggled against a talented Indiana Wesleyan squad with its only wins coming in singles' play.  Lambright took down Carson Vandenbossche 6-4, 6-2 at #5 and Widener defeated Jared Ringeberg 6-0, 4-6, 7-5 at #6.

The split gives the Foresters a 3-6 record overall and a 1-5 mark in conference play.
