09.29.09 - The Foresters came up short in a close match with Taylor University falling 5-4 to the Trojans.

HU took three of the singles matches but could only manage one win in doubles' play. Martin Vivas (#2) and Jameel Brenneman (#3) outlasted their opponents with 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 and 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 wins respectively.  At #4 Jon Brenneman won in two sets 7-5, 6-4.

In other singles action, Gonzalo Vivas fell 6-0, 6-1 at #1.  Keaton McDonald (#5) lost 6-2, 6-2 as did Paul Hageman (#6) 6-0, 6-2. 

Jameel and Jon Brenneman recorded the only doubles victory of the day with a 8-6 win at #2.  The Vivas brothers lost 8-3 at #1 and the McDonald/Hageman duo were downed 8-3 at #3.

The loss drops the Foresters to 2-5 on the season, 1-4 in the MCC.
