09.04.09 - It was a tough conference match for the Foresters as they fell 9-0 to Indiana Wesleyan University.

Gonzalo Vivas took Mat Pedersen to a third set but couldn't muster the win, losing 4-6, 6-3, 3-6. The rest of the Foresters lost in straight sets. Martin Vias (#2 singles) lost 3-6, 6-7, Jameel Brenneman (#3 singles) came up short 3-6, 3-6, Jon Brenneman (#4 singles) lost 2-6, 2-6, Keaton McDonald (#5 singles) was downed 3-6, 0-6 and Paul Hageman (#6 singles) lost 0-6, 2-6.

In doubles action, the Wildcat dominated.  At the #1 spot, the Vivas brothers lost 4-8.  The Brenneman brothers at #2 doubles faired no better with a 1-8 loss. McDonald and Hageman were shut out at #3 doubles 0-8.

"We played a very strong team today and couldn't compete at most spots," said Coach Ferguson.  "We need to be more aggressive."

The Foresters are now 1-2 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.
