Platt Arena
Originally dedicated in 1973, this 1200 seat gymnasium has played host to many championship nights throughout the decades. Whether it is competing in the always challenging Mid Central Conference or matching up against an NAIA nationally ranked opponent; Huntington University students, faculty, staff, and community are guaranteed to witness some of the elite athletes and programs in the Midwest. The gym plays host to our men’s and women’s basketball teams as well as our women’s volleyball squad. Combined all three of these well established programs have played in 15 national tournaments.
During the day this facility is used by our Physical Education, Recreation, and Campus Recreation Departments as well as those die hard who like to drop in for their lunchtime basketball session.
In 2012, Platt Arena was named in honor of Forester men’s basketball legend Steve Platt.
Huntington University competes in 16 sports for men and women within the NAIA.
