In their first
Mid-Central Conference action, the Foresters dropped two close ones,
falling 2-1 and 3-1 to the Marian College Knights. In game one,
HC left runners stranded at second and third in the top of the seventh
with the score tied 1-1 and then gave up the winning run to the
Knights with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. Kendra Stahl
(0-2) went the distance in the loss. Game two was a similar
story as the Foresters again failed to capitalize with runners in
scoring position and fell 3-1. Emily Burkholder (0-1) went five
innings in the loss. The women are now 0-4 on the season and 0-2
in the MCC. |
