04.14.05 After dropping the first game 7-0 to Goshen College, the Foresters avoided the sweep with an 8-7 win in the nightcap.  In game one, Goshen picked up two runs in the top of the first and then broke the game open with a bases-clearing triple in the sixth inning.  HC had just five hits in the game off Goshen hurler Rachel Solmos with two coming from Kaley Fode.  The Maple Leafs banged out 13 hits on their way to the 7-0 shutout.  Renae Schortgen took the loss for HC.

In the nightcap, the Foresters put eight runs on the board in their first two at-bats and then held on for the win.  Kendra Stahl picked up her third victory of the season and Liz Rapone earned the save with three scoreless innings of work.  Fode continued her hot hitting with three more hits and two RBI in game two.  Schortgen added a triple and three RBI and Stahl finished with a triple and an RBI.

With the split, the Foresters move to 5-20 on  the year and 2-10 in the MCC.
