03.27.07 - The Foresters didn't have much offense, but they found enough to split a doubleheader with Indiana Wesleyan University, winning the opener 1-0 and falling 2-1 in the nightcap.

In the first of two pitcher's duals, the Foresters (5-6, 1-1) were finally able to put a couple hits together in the top of the sixth to score the only run of the game.  April Snider was hit by a pitch to get on base.  Keri Badenhop singled to left-center to advance Snider to second and both moved up a base on a passed ball.  Ashley Scally then delivered the big hit with a single to right that scored Snider for the game-winner.

Lauren Ward (3-2) got the complete game shutout for HU.  She gave up four hits and walked four while striking out five in seven innings of work.

In the second game, IWU scored first with one in the bottom of the second, but the Foresters rallied to tie it in the top of the third when Kendra Stahl scored on a Stacy Socha double.  The score remained tied until the Wildcats put two doubles together in the bottom of the sixth to take a 2-1 lead.  HU had one more at-bat to make another comeback, but they went down in order.

Scally (1-3) pitched an outstanding game despite the loss.  She gave up two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight in five and two-thirds innings of work.
