02.05.05 - The men and women's track teams traveled to DePauw University to compete in the Tiger Indoor Invitational.  The women finished 11th of 17 teams with 17 points and the men placed 13th in a field of 16 teams with 20 points.  Brittany Fillman topped the list of highlights from the women’s action when she met qualification standards for the NAIA Indoor National Championships in the 600 meters. She finished third in the event with a qualifying time of 1:39.75.  Melissa McFadden made the finals in the triple jump where she finished in ninth place with a leap of 31' 10.25".  Lisa Isabelli posted a personal record in the finals of the weight throw.  Her distance of 38'-6", a five-foot improvement over her best last season, gave her a ninth place finish, and the women’s 4x400 relay (Fillman, Heidi Christner, Courtney Gullickson, and Christi Shook) finished fourth with a time of 4:18.99.  Missouri Baptist University won the women's event with 168 points.  On the men's side, two individuals met NAIA provisional standards for qualifying for the NAIA Indoor National Championships.  Joel Sanders ran the 1000 meters in 2:33.63 for a third place finish and Cody Hannie hit provisional in the 3000 meters with his sixth place finish in 8:58.91.  Hannie also finished third in the mile with a time of 4:27.45, while teammate Joseph Waithira placed fifth in 4:35.91.  Vincennes University scored 108 points to win the men's title.
