Joel Sanders

05.31.05 - In his first appearance at the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, freshman Joel Sanders placed 17th in the preliminaries of the 800 meter run with his time of 1:58.84. He missed the cut for the finals by six seconds.  Elkana Chepsiror of Virginia Intermont College won the event with a time of 1:51.05.  Dickinson State took the men's team title with 99 points and Simon Fraser won the women's championship with 79.50 points.
