04.13.06 - In their lone home meet of the season, both Forester track squads finished third with Bethel College taking both titles.  The Pilots won the women's meet with 149 points followed by Manchester with 124 and HU with 103.  In men's action, Bethel finished with 153 points followed by Manchester with 116 and HU with 88.

Katie Crandall won two events to pace the Forester women.  She won the 100 meter hurdles in 14.90 and the high jump at 5-0.  She also took second in the 400 meter hurdles.  Other winners included Brittany Fillman (800, 2:30.39), Lisa Isabelli (hammer, 38.94) and Jill Roughia (3000 steeplechase, 12:49.91).

Lauren Davenport finished second in both the 400 (1:03.57) and the 400 hurdles (1:12.41).  Molly Andrews was second in the 3000 steeplechase in 13:11.26.  Heidi Christner placed second in the triple jump at 29' 10.5" and third in the javelin at 97' 0.25". Emily Sealscott was second in the 1500 with a time of 5:15.63 followed by Vanessa Macias in third at 5:17.06.

On the men's side, Lucas Beach won two field events for HU.  He won the shot put at 52' 7.25" and won the hammer with a toss of 45.93 meters.  Beach also finished second in the discus at 36.70 meters.  Other top finishers for the Foresters included Cody Hannie (800, 2:01.09), Dan Lindbloom, (3000 steeplechase, 10:09.82), Joseph Njeri (5000, 16:27.39) and Joel Sanders (1500, 4:09.09).

Several Foresters placed third in their respective events.  Luke Andrews came in third in the 5000 in 16:40.39.  Wes Byler was third in the hammer at 36.81 meters.  Nick Johnson placed third in the 1500 in 4:13.91 and Michael Lehman finished third in the 400 hurdles in 1:03.06.
