02.03.07 - The Foresters grabbed five first place finishes at the Taylor University Invitational on Saturday.  Bethany McGraw earned two top spots, one in the long jump with a leap of 17-10.50 and the other in the triple jump with a mark of 33-04.50.  McGraw also added a fourth in the 55 meter dash (7.63) and a fifth in the 200 meter dash (27.42). Jill Roughia placed first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:25.47 and Joel Sanders won the same event on the men's side with a time of 1:59.82.  The men's 4x800 relay team of Luke Diehl, Cody Hannie, Dan Lindbloom and Sanders brought home the final top finish, winning the event in 8:12.58.

Other top five performances for the men included a third place finish for Nick Johnson in the 3000 meter run.  His time of 8:55.90 met provisional qualification standards to compete in the NAIA National Indoor Track Championships in March.  Lucas Beach added a second place in the shot put (15.09 m) and a fourth in the weight throw (13.16). Hannie was third in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:34.84 and he ran a leg of the 4x400 relay along with Adam Widener, Diehl and Sanders that placed fifth with a time of 3:45.05.  The men's distance medley relay of Johnson, Joseph Mills, Michael Lehman and Joseph Njeri ran to a third place finish with a time of 11:21.31.

In women's action, Brittany Fillman ran a 1:03.07 in the 400 meter dash to place fifth and Emily Holliday came in fifth in the mile run with her time of 5:36.76.  Two relays also earned top five finishes.  The distance medley of Holliday, Laura Bowman, Vanessa Macias and Roughia came in third with a time of 13:52.15 and the 4x400 team of Michelle Kyler, Fillman, Katie Crandall and Colleen Knox was fifth with a time of 4:22.98.
