03.17.07 - The
Forester track teams opened their outdoor season at the Wabash College
relays. The women earned a second place finish and the men were
fourth.
In women's action, three individuals and
six relays teams earned first place finishes on the day. Marian won the
team title with a score of 143 followed by HU (124), Taylor (100),
Franklin (78) and Robert Morris (25).
Michelle Kyler took first
in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.36. Cassie Lehman won the 100
meter hurdles in 17.41 and Bethany McGraw had a leap of 16-01.50 to win
the long jump. The women also won the 4x100 (52.08), the 4x200
(1:54.00), the 4x400 (4:13.62), the 4x800(10:12.17), the 800 sprint medley
(1:56.22) and the distance medley (13:34.04).
Taylor won the men's event
with a team score of 144 followed by Wabash (133), Franklin (111), HU
(104) and Marian (84).
Lucas Beach grabbed two
individual first in the hammer throw (153-05) and the shot put (50-06.75).
Dan Lindbloom won the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:49.02 and
the men's 4x800 relay also took first with a time of 8:06.16.
