04.21.07 - The Foresters earned seven first place finishes at the Wilmington College Invitational.  Six came on the women's side and led the team to a second place finish with 152 points, while the men came in seventh with 66 points.

Bethany McGraw and Jill Roughia both earned two top spots for the women. McGraw was first in the long jump (5.14 m) and the triple jump (10.43 m) while Roughia won the 1500 meter run (4:59.40) and the 800 meter run (2:28.98).  Emily Holliday met NAIA provisional qualification standards with her winning time of 11:46.92 in the 3000 meter steeplechase and the women's 4x400 relay (Brittany Fillman, Michelle Kyler, Lauren Davenport, Katie Crandall), just missed provisional standards (.70) with a winning time of 4:00.21.  In men's action, Lucas Beach brought home the final top finish.  He qualified for NAIA Outdoor Nationals in May with his winning toss of 15.67 m in the shot put.

There also were several second place finishers for the Foresters. Katie Crandall had two with one in the 100 hurdles (16.05) and one in the 400 hurdles (1:06.00), which also met NAIA provisional qualification standards.  Holliday added a second in the 5000 meter run with her time of 19:30.97.  Joel Sanders posted an outstanding time of 4:00.10 in the 1500 meter to finish second.  Cody Hannie was second in the 800 meter run (1:58.61) and Joseph Njeri took second in the 5000 meter run with his time of 15:44.98.

Baldwin-Wallace won the women's event with 178 points followed by HU (152), Wilmington (146), Heidelberg (81), Earlham (72), Wittenberg (42), Mount St. Joseph (21) and Muskingum (16).

On the men's side, Wilmington took the team title with 142 points followed by Wittenberg (131), Heidelberg (119), Baldwin-Wallace (94), Muskingum (86), Earlham (68), HU (66), Shawnee State (13) and Mount St. Joseph (8).
