01.12.08 - Both HU men's and women's track teams came away with wins over Manchester College in the Frozen Forest track meet hosted by the Foresters in the fieldhouse of the Merillat Complex. The women won 63-46 while the men edged the Spartans 61-60. 

In women's action, Bethany McGraw won four events to pace the Foresters and Michelle Kyler took first in three of her own.  McGraw won the long jump and met provisional standards for competing in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships to be held in March in Johnson City , Tennessee. McGraw also won the 55-meter dash (7.53), the 300-meter dash (45.88) and the triple jump (35-06.50).  Kyler crossed the line first in the 400-meter dash (1:06.36) and the 55-meter hurdles (10.86) and she cleared 9-06 to win the pole vault.  McGraw and Kyler were also members of the winning 4x200 relay (3:39.51) along with Jill Roughia and Josann Schoeff.  HU's 4x800 relay of Laura and Lindsay Bowman, Joanna Stebing and Bradie Vance also took first place. 

On the men's side, Sean LaFontaine was the lone double winner on the day for HU.  He took first in both the long jump (19-01) and the triple jump (35-05.50).  Kameron Bailey won the 300-meter dash with a time of 38.16. Joel Sanders took first in the 800-meter run with his time of 2:01.06 and Nick Hindes won the 3200-meter run with a time of 10:48.95. The men's 4x200 and 4x800 relays both finished first as well.
