01.19.08 - The
men and women's track teams competed in a non-scored meet at Indiana
Wesleyan University on the weekend. The invitational included HU,
the University of Indianapolis, the host Wildcats and competitors from
Taylor and Tri-State.
In women's action,
Bethany McGraw won
two individual events to pace the Foresters. She won the 60-meter dash in
8.27 and she took first in the long jump with a leap of 17-01.
McGraw also was a member of HU's winning 4x400 relay that crossed the line
first with a time of 4:22.93. Other members included Michelle Kyler,
Jill Roughia and Josann Schoeff. Kyler also took top honors in the pole
vault by clearing 9-06 and Laura Bowman won the mile with a time of
6:02.42.
On the men's side, Kameron Bailey brought home the Foresters' lone
win. He took first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.20
and he added a third place finish in the 60-meter dash (7.23). Sean LaFontaine
chipped in three fourth place finishes in the 200-meter dash (24.60),
400-meter dash (53.19) and the long jump (19-04).
