02.22.08 - While competing in the Grand Rapids Championship hosted by Grand Valley State University, two more Foresters met either provisional or automatic qualification standards to compete in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships to be held in Johnson City, Tennessee March 6-8.  Nick Johnson and Joseph Njeri joined five others who qualified earlier this season.

Johnson automatically qualified in the 3000 meter run with his time of 8:43.34 which placed him third in the event and Njeri met provisional standards in the 5000 meter run with his fifth place finish in 15:24.00.  Joel Sanders won the 800 meter run with a time of 1:54.81 to automatically qualify to compete in a second event.  He also had previously qualified in the 1000 meter run.  On the women's side, Bethany McGraw met provisional standards in her third event, the 400 meter dash, with a fifth place finish in 1:00.17.  McGraw had already met provisional standards in the long jump and triple jump.

Other highlights from the event included two first place finishes by McGraw in the long jump (17-07.00) and the triple jump (10-77m) as well as a third place finish in the 200 meter dash (9.18).  Kameron Bailey was third in the 400 meter dash (51:07), Cassie Lehman was fourth in the 55 meter hurdles (9.18) and Tobias Sauter was fourth in the 5000 meter run (15:23.67).
