03.15.08 - At the Berea College Invitational, the Forester men and women won eight and seven events respectively on their way to third place finishes in the team competition.

On the men's side, Lucas Beach and Joel Sanders were both double winners.  Sanders took first in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:59.98 and he won the 1500 meter run in 4:12.37.  Beach landed the winning toss in the shot put at 48-05.25 and the hammer throw at 146-00.50.  Kameron Bailey crossed the line first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.36.  Dan Lindbloom won the 3000 meter steeplechase in 9:47.52.  Aaron Mills took first in the pole vault clearing 13-00 for the win, and the men's 4x400 relay team of Sanders, Bailey, Sean Lafontaine and Luke Diehl posted the winning time of 3:30.72.

The host Mountaineers won the men's event with 195 points.  Centre College was second with 187 points followed by HU (165), Lindsey Wilson (89), Hanover (61), Campbellsville (46) and Union (33).

In women's action, Bethany McGraw brought home four individual wins and also was a member of the winning 4x400 relay squad.  McGraw won both the 100 and 200 meter dashes in 13.08 and 26.83 respectively.  In the field events, McGraw had the winning leap in the long jump of 17-02.25 and the triple jump at 32-11.00.  Lauren Davenport was the winner in the 800 meter run with her time of 2:26.47 and Jill Roughia took first in the 1500 meter run with her winning time of 5:23.10.

Berea got the sweep by winning the women's event with a score of 228.  Again Centre College was second with 204 points followed by HU (100), Lindsey Wilson (100), Hanover (40), Campbellsville (36), Midway (10) and Union (2).
