04.12.08 - The Foresters competed at the Indiana Intercollegiate Little State Championships and both the men's and women's teams came away with a ninth place finish.

Dan Lindbloom was HU's lone winner in the meet.  He took first in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:34.34.  Lindbloom also took third in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:29.04 with teammate Nick Johnson right behind him in fourth with his time of 15:29.41.  Joseph Njeri also had a strong showing with his second place finish in the 10,000 meter run in 32:05.41.  Kameron Bailey made his way to the finals of the 400 meter dash and finished sixth in 51.79.

Indiana Wesleyan won the men's meet with a team score of 123.  Rounding out the top 10 were Indianapolis (110), Vincennes (102.50), Taylor (82), Bethel (63), Anderson (49), St. Joseph's (48), St. Francis (38), HU (32) and  Wabash (24).

In women's action, Bethany McGraw brought home two third place finishes (100m, 12.80; triple jump, 34-10.50), as well as a fifth (200m, 26.30) and a sixth (long jump, 17-01.50).  Lauren Davenport took third in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:07.86 and fourth in the 400 meter dash in 1:01.65.  The women's 4x400 relay also earned points in the meet with a fifth place finish in 4:20.02.

Indianapolis took the women's team title with a score of 152.  Rounding out the top 10 teams were Indiana Wesleyan (123), Bethel (111.50), DePauw (67), St. Joseph's (44), Goshen and Marian (43.5), Anderson (43), HU (34) and Southern Indiana (29).
