04.19.08 - Lauren Davenport met provisional qualifying standards to compete in the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in May with her winning time of 1:05.26 in the 400 meter hurdles at the Wilmington College Invitational.  Both the men's and women's teams finished fifth overall.

In women's action, Davenport along with Josann Schoeff, Jill Roughia and Bethany McGraw ran a 4:11.10 to win the 4x400 relay.  McGraw brought home the other two firsts for the Foresters in the long jump (16-04.50) and the triple jump (33-03.75). 

Wilmington won the women's team title with a score of 159 followed by Marietta (140), Muskingum (104), Heidelberg (96), Huntington (74), Wittenberg (51), Midway (12) and Central State (4).

On the men's side, three Foresters won events.  Luke Diehl won the 3000 meter steeplechase in 9:58.56.  Dan Lindbloom took first in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:03.52 and Joseph Njeri crossed the line first in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:49.81.  Kameron Bailey added two second place finishes in the 100 meter dash (11.53) and the 200 meter dash (22.73).

Wilmington made it a sweep winning the men's event as well with a score of 163.  Marietta was second (109.50) followed by Wittenberg (99.50), Heidelberg (85), Huntington (83), Muskingum (65) and Central State (7).
