04.05.08 - Dan Lindbloom broke his own school record in the 3000 meter steeplechase by nearly four seconds with his winning time of 9:21.68 at the Manchester College Invitational.  Lindbloom also qualified to compete in the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in St. Louis in May.  The Forester men finished fourth in the meet and the women were third.

Four other Foresters joined Lindbloom in winning an event for HU in the men's competition.  Kameron Bailey crossed the line first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.23.  Nick Johnson took the 1500 meter run with a winning time of 4:07.15.  Joseph Njeri was first in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 34:48.00 and Sean Lafontaine won the 400 hurdles in 57.46.

The Tri-State men won the team title with a score of 200 followed by Manchester (199), Defiance (118.50), HU (101), Olivet (75.70), IPFW (15), Franklin (14) and IU Northwest (10).

The Forester women won seven events in the meet.  HU's Bethany McGraw earned four herself.  She won the 100 meter dash in 13.40 and the 200 meter in 27.08.  She also was first in the long jump with a leap of 4.98 meters as well as the triple jump with a winning mark of 10.16 meters.  Lauren Davenport was a double winner in the 400 meter dash (1:02.33) and the 400 meter hurdles (1:06.71) and Ali Shideler won the 10,000 meter run in 46:54.00.

Manchester won the women's team title with a score of 240 followed by Defiance (122), HU (120), Olivet (48), Franklin (41) and Tri-State (17).
