01.16.09 - The Forester men's and women's track teams competed at the Ohio Northern University Invitational and both placed fourth in the team standings.

In women's action, Bethany McGraw took first in two events to pace the Foresters.  She won the 200 with a time of 27.00 and she recorded the best mark in the long jump at 17-00.75 to earn her second win of the day.  Two others placed in the top three in their events for HU.  Cassie Lehman was third in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.60 and Jill Roughia was third in the 1000 meter run with her time of 3:16.40.

Ohio Northern won the event with a team score of 323.5 followed by Findlay (145), Heidelberg (69), HU (57) and Bluffton (35.5).

On the men's side, Nick Johnson and Lucas Beach each won an event to lead HU.  Johnson won the 5000 with a time of 15:23.80, which met provisional qualifying standards to compete in the NAIA Indoor Track National Championships in early March.  Johnson also finished second in the mile with a time of 4:27.20. Beach was the winner in the shot put with a toss of 50-10.00 and he placed third in the weight throw with a mark of 46-08.75.  Other top three finishers included Matthias Haller, who was second in the 1000 in 2:36.16, Joseph Njeri, who was second in the 5000 with a time of 15:56.30 and Joseph Herber, who was third in the 5000 in 16:02.50.

The men's team standings were identical to the women's with Ohio Northern winning with a team score of 258.5 followed by Findlay (239), Heidelberg (104.5), HU (74) and Bluffton (21).
