Huntington College Track & Field Hannie wins 800 at Otterbein 5/8 - Cody Hannie led the way for the Foresters at the Last Chance Qualifier at Otterbein College on Saturday, May 8, with a victory in the 800 meter run (1:56.08). Teammate David St. Louis posted two personal bests with a third-place finish in the 800 (1:59.59) and a fourth-place finish in the 1500 meters (4:05.08). On the women's side, Brittany Fillman finished second in the 400 meters in a season-best time of 59.61. Nicole Jacob, Brooke Welch and Courtney Gullickson finished third through fifth, respectively in the 800 meters. Jacob ran a 2:26.05 while Welch posted a 2:28.17 and Gullickson finished in 2:29.15. Emily Sealscott finished third in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 13:10.43. On Friday, May 7, Jonathan Doyle competed at the Billy Hayes Invitational, hosted by Indiana University. He finished 14th in the 110 meter high hurdles (15.35) and 15th in the 400 hurdles (55.64). The Foresters will travel to North Central College on May 14, for their last tune-up before the national meet in Louisville, Ky., May 27-29, 2004. |
