Men third at Mt. Laurel Relays

4/3 - The men and women's track teams traveled to Sewanee, Tennessee to compete in the Mt. Laurel Relays. The men finished third out of 13 teams with 63 points. Centre College won the event with 121 points followed by Clayton State University with 70 points. Senior Jonathan Doyle led the Foresters with a first place in the 110 meter hurdles in 15.34 and a second in the 400 meter hurdles in 57.29. David St. Louis and Ross Luckett finished one and two in the 3000 meter steeplechase with times of 10:00.65 and 10:12.46, respectively. Cody Hannie finished third in the 1500 with a time of 4:02.49 and Joseph Waithira was fourth in the 5000 in 15:51.22. HC's 4x400 relay tied for second with a time of 3:26.45, their 4x800 relay took fourth place in 8:11.51, and the sprint medley relay finished fifth in 1:39.88.

In women's action, Brittany Fillman had the Foresters' best finish in the meet with her second place in the 400 in 60.44. Teammate Kara Fultz finished fourth in the scoring in the same event with a time of 63.11. Other individuals scoring for HC included Nicole Jacob, who took third in the 1500 with a time of 4:59.07, Courtney Gullickson, who was fifth in the 400 meter hurdles in 71.71, and Brooke Welch, who finished sixth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:56.10. HC's sprint medley relay finished first among nine scoring teams with a time of 1:55.34, and both the 4x100 and 4x800 relay teams finished fifth in the scoring with times of 53.21 and 10:29.14. The Foresters finished in a tie for sixth place with host University of the South - Sewanee with a score of 26. Tennessee Tech won the women's competition with a score of 92.
