10.29.05 - The Foresters hosted their own tri-match and were able to avenge an earlier season loss with a 3-0 win over Goshen, but couldn't do the same against the University of Michigan Dearborn as they fell 3-2.

In the Goshen match, HU dominated at the net to get the easy 30-21, 30-24, 30-22 win.  Heidi Christner and Marissa Scheiber led the Foresters with seven kills.  Tiffany Malfait had a team-high six blocks and five aces.  Kellie Hanson had 18 assists and Stephanie Stearns added 13 digs.

Against Michigan Dearborn, HU had some of its best and some of its worst play in the same match.  The Foresters started well with a 30-28 win in game one.  In game two, HU was very slow.  They could not get any momentum and fell 30-23. They picked up the pace in game three and were rewarded with a 30-25 win and a 2-1 lead in the match.  In game four the Foresters jumped out to a 9-3 lead, but then Michigan Dearborn turned the tables with a 16-2 run and eventually put HU away 30-22 to even the match.  Game five was never close as the Foresters committed 12 unforced errors in the 15-8 loss.

Amy Wilson was a machine at the net with 21 kills in the match.  Kayley Cervenka had team-leading three blocks.  Hanson dished out 28 assists and Stearns kept HU in the match with her 22 digs.

The Foresters now stand at 16-11 with one week of the regular season left on their schedule.
