| 10.26.07 - After
losing to Manchester College earlier in the season, the Foresters
turned the tables on the Spartans and won the grudge match 30-20,
30-25, 23-30, 30-13. "We played
pretty well tonight," said Coach Schroeder. "We got a lot of points
off our serves."
Brittney Smelser led HU with 18 kills
and she chipped in 13 digs and three aces. Kayley Cervenka had
10 kills and a team-high five blocks. Natalie Villwock
contributed eight kills and two blocks. Alyssa Schroeder dished out 45
assists and had three aces and Stephanie Stearns led the team with 20
digs.
"Kayley and Natalie both did a good job
in the middle, and Brittney got us a lot of points with her hitting,"
said Coach Schroeder. "Alyssa ran the offense well, and Stephanie did
her usual good job on defense."
The win was the
Foresters' 20th of the season against just six losses. HU next hosts
Indiana Wesleyan University on Wednesday, October 31 at 7:00 p.m. in
their final MCC regular season contest. The winner will be the
