10.03.07 - The Foresters downed Marian College in three straight, winning 30-24, 30-18, 30-27 to move to 3-1 in the conference.

HU cruised to wins in the first two games, but the Knights put up a battle in game three.  The score was close throughout and was knotted at 26-26. A kill from Brittney Smelser and an attack by Natalie Villwock gave the Foresters a 28-26 lead.  Marian won the next point, but then made a hitting error to put HU up 29-27.  After a long rally, Alyssa Schroeder put one down to win the match.

Smelser had 15 kills to lead the Foresters at the net. Villwock added nine kills and a team-high four blocks. Schroeder finished with 36 assists and Stephanie Stearns had 21 digs. Amanda Meyers led the team with four aces.

The win moves the Foresters to 15-5 on the year.
