After just four
days of practice the Foresters hit the court for the first match of
the year at Purdue University North Central and struggled to 3-2
win.
HU dropped
the first game 25-23, but rebounded with 25-17 and 26-24 wins in the
next two. The Panthers evened the match with a 25-17 victory
in game four, but the Foresters took the final game 15-10 to get the
win in their season opener.
Brittney Smelser
led HU with 21 kills. Alyssa Schroeder took team high honors
with 77 assists and Chelsey Melvin had 14 digs. |
