Foresters picked up to two wins at the Manchester Invitational to go
undefeated over the weekend.
HU opened with a win
over the host school Manchester College 25-20, 19-25, 25-19, 25-14.
Brittney Smelser led the charge with 13 kills, 12 digs and four aces
while Alyssa Schroeder added 35 assists, three blocks and five aces.
Jessica Sullivan finished with a team-high four blocks.
The Foresters then avenged an earlier season loss against conference
rival Goshen College by beating the Maple Leafs in four games,
16-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-20. Leading the way was Smelser with
17 kills, four blocks and 14 digs. Courtney Berger chipped in 11
kills while Stacie Hoffman contributed seven kills and three blocks.
Schroeder dished out 39 assists and Denise Lehman led the team with
19 digs.
The Foresters move to 10-7 on the year and travel to Bethel on
Wednesday.
