Volleyball Coach Dave Schroeder enters his twelfth season as the
Foresters' head coach. During his tenure, Schroeder
has compiled a 184-213 record. Last season, Huntington
finished with a 26-13 record, the highest win total in a season for
Schroeder. Three Foresters received MCC All-Conference honors
with sophomore Stephanie Stearns repeating as a First Team selection
and defending her Libero of the Year award, while juniors Rene Biberstine and Amy Wilson each received Second Team honors.
Prior to taking the
reins of the Forester program, Schroeder played three years of USAV
volleyball. He launched the Huntington Volleyball Club in 1985
and ran the organization for 10 years. The Club still serves
as the focal point to Huntington area volleyball. Aside from coaching the
Foresters, Schroeder owns his own business, Schroeder’s Sales and
Services, Inc. He and his wife Jody, have three children,
their son Josh and his wife Sarina and a one-year old granddaughter,
Samantha; another son Chris and his wife Danielle and their daughter Alyssa,
who is a sophomore on the 2007-08 squad. |
