1.26.05 - The Foresters gave NAIA 14th-ranked University of St. Francis all they could handle but eventually succumbed 65-59 to the Cougars.  HC came out strong on the defensive end and owned a 23-14 lead with seven minutes to play, but the Cougars finished out the half with a 14-4 run to take a one-point lead at the break at 28-27.  In the second half, the Cougars stretched their lead to 12 on an old-fashion three-point play by Chivonn Keppeler, and were still up 51-41 with 8:51 on the clock.  Following a Huntington timeout, the Foresters went on a 9-1 run to pull within two at 52-50 with just under six minutes to play.  Another layup by Keppeler and a trey by Megan Dossen ended Huntington’s threat and Cassie Kline went 6- 6 from the line down the stretch to seal the win for the Cougars.  Dossen took game-high honors with 18 points for St. Francis.  For the Foresters, Jessica Ramey finished with 17 points and eight rebounds and Janna Knisely added 15. The loss drops the women to 8-13 overall and 3-7 in the MCC.
