12.29.04 - The Foresters (6-9) came from behind to defeat the Belles of St. Mary's College 66-62, giving them a third place finish in the St. Xavier University Christmas Tip-off Tournament.  Huntington struggled from the field in the first half, hitting just 9 of 30 attempts for 30%, and was fortunate to be down just six (33-27) at the break.  After taking 13 3-point shots in the opening stanza, the Foresters decided to get more aggressive on the offensive end and take the ball to the hole.  The adjustment paid off as Huntington went 21-25 from the charity stripe to just 4-5 for the Belles.  A solid effort by the Forester defense held St. Mary's to 1-14 shooting from behind the arc and just 29 points in the second half.  Betsey Bean, who represented Huntington on the All-Tournament team, led five players in double figures with 15 points and seven rebounds.  Jamie Grogg, Janna Knisely, and Amy Berry each added 11 and Jessica Ramey had 10.  St. Mary's Emily Creachbaum led all scorers in the game with 16 points.  In semi-final action the previous day, the Foresters fell 74-54 to the Saints of Aquinas College.  Bean, the lone Forester to reach double digits finished the game with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
