02.22.05 - A hot-shooting St. Francis squad scorched the nets in the second half to spark their 88-69 win over the Foresters.  The loss ends HC's season with a 12-16 record.  After the first half ended in a virtual stalemate, the Foresters emerged from the locker room with a 7-2 run to take a 43-39 lead two and a half minutes into the half.  Then the storm hit.  The Cougars began raining in threes from all over the court going 9-13 from downtown over the final 17 minutes of the game.  On the other end, the Foresters, who had shot 52% from the field in the first half, suddenly had trouble finding the bottom of the net.  Back to back threes from St. Francis' Amy Meyer and Megan Dossen tied the game at 45-45 and opened the Cougar floodgates.  Over a five minute span, the Cougars out-scored HC 20-6 to take a 59-49 lead with 11:28 on the clock.  The Foresters cut the lead to eight at 62-54, but a Cassie Kline trey ended the threat and the Cougars coasted to the win.  St. Francis went 16-25 from the field in the second half for 64% and was at 55% for the game. Senior Jamie Grogg, playing in her final game as a Forester, and Jessica Ramey each scored 16 points to lead HC.  Betsey Bean added 10.  Dossen took game-high honors with 18 for the Cougars.
