11.09.05 - It was opening night for HU, and after getting through a jittery first half, the Foresters settled down and came from behind to get the 70-59 win over Indiana Tech (2-3).  The Foresters (1-0) struggled through the first half, hitting just 27% from the field and committing 10 turnovers to end the period down 27-21.

HU regrouped in the locker room and started the second stanza with a lot more composure.  The Foresters scored on five of their first six possessions to immediately get back in the game.  The momentum began to swing when HU knocked down a trey on three consecutive possessions about seven minutes into the half.  Janna Knisely hit the first and Jessica Ramey gave the Foresters the lead for good at 42-39 with the first of her two.  HU gradually increased its advantage to 10 points and hit enough free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

Amy Berry and Ramey each scored 20 to take game-high honors.  Knisely added 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds, and Betsey Bean scored 10 points and dished out six assists.  Brezette Elder-Wade led the Warriors with 19 points.  The Foresters shot 58% (15-26) from the field in the second half to bring their shooting percentage to 41% for the game.  Indiana Tech out-rebounded HU 45-39.
