02.20.08 - The Foresters (15-12, 7-8) earned the regular season sweep over Goshen College (10-18, 4-11) with an important 77-66 road win.

Jenna Donaldson paced HU with her game-high 22 including 10 of the Foresters' first 14 points of the second half.  Lauren Davenport finished with 17 and Courtney Beerbower chipped in a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Goshen also put three in double figures with Kendra Fights and Krystal Duensing scoring 20 and 13 respectively off the bench.  Ashley Hummer added 11.

The Maple Leafs scored the first two points of the game, but it was the only lead they would have.  HU put together a 16-3 run to take a double digit lead with just over eight minutes gone in the half.  A three minute scoring drought late in the half allowed Goshen to pull within four at 26-22, but Davenport scored five points in an 8-2 spurt down the stretch to give HU a 34-24 lead at the break.

With Donaldson's hot hand to open the second half, the Foresters nearly doubled their margin at 49-30 at the 13:20 mark.  HU was still up 16 at 62-46 with six minutes to play when the Maple Leafs made one last rally attempt.  Goshen put a 12-2 run on HU and trimmed the deficit to six with 3:15 to go.

On the Foresters' next possession, Erica Yost threw over the Maple Leaf press to hit Donaldson for a lay-up.  She was fouled and converted the traditional three-point play to stop Goshen's momentum.  HU then connected on 10 of 12 charity tosses over the final 2:30 to secure the victory.
