Huntington University junior forward, Courtney Beerbower, was named the Mid-Central
Conference Player of the Week for the week of February 16-22, 2009. Beerbower,
an elementary/special education major from Auburn, Indiana
(DeKalb High School), helped lead the Foresters to a 2-0 week with
her 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds during the two games.
In Wednesday’s 60-46 win over St. Francis, she recorded her sixth
double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
She followed that up with 17 points and seven boards in Huntington's
57-52 victory at Marian on Saturday. Beerbower is currently
averaging 11.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for the NAIA
Division II 16th-ranked Foresters. |
