#10 Lauren Davenport
|
| 5'6
Guard |
Andrews, IN/Huntington North HS
|
| Senior |
Major -
Exercise Science |
Coach’s
Comments: As our point guard,
Lauren’s leadership on the floor is an invaluable part of the team’s
success. Last year, it became apparent that aside from her point duties, we
also needed Lauren to become more of a scoring threat. She gradually eased
into that role and finished the season as our third-leading scorer. I
expect her contributions to be even more important to this year’s team and
look forward to watching her step up her game another notch.

#12 Teirenney Fincher
|
| 5'2
Guard |
Fort Wayne, IN/Elmhurst HS
|
|
Freshman |
Major -
Social Work |
Coach’s Comments: Teirenney
has good knowledge of the game, and coming from a winning program, she
understands what it takes to be successful. She is a very hard worker
and a great team player. Defensively, she can put a lot of pressure on
ball handlers and her ability to shoot the three will help fill a void
on our roster.

#13 Ryleigh Carr
|
| 5'8 G/F |
Rochester, IN/Rochester HS
|
| Junior |
Major -
Exercise Science |
Coach’s
Comments: Although
Ryleigh played hurt the entire season, she was still able to make a major
contribution to last year’s success. She provided a big spark off the bench
with her hustle and her rebounding. After having off-season knee surgery, Ryleigh is looking forward to a healthier year. With a return to form, she
will be an even bigger and more consistent contributor at both ends of the
floor.

#15 Sarah Miller
|
| 5'7
Guard |
Eaton, IN/Delta HS
|
|
Freshman |
Major -
Exercise Science |
Coach’s Comments: There
are two attributes of Sarah’s game that immediately caught my eye, her
quickness and her work ethic. Sarah also has a scorer’s mentality and a
knack for finding ways to put the ball in the hoop. She definitely has
potential at both ends of the floor, which makes her a valuable addition to
the roster.

#20 Kelsey Green
|
| 5'11 Forward |
Van Buren, IN/Eastbrook HS
|
|
Freshman |
Major -
Secondary Math Education |
Coach’s
Comments: Last
year we were very thin in the post, so Kelsey will help fill a void. She is
a banger inside and goes to the boards hard. She also has a good mid-range
jumper that makes her a more versatile player. Add her work ethic and
competitiveness to the mix and you have all the ingredients for a successful
transition to the collegiate level.

#21 Ebony Robinson
|
| 5'5 Guard |
Fort Wayne, IN/ Elmhurst HS
|
|
Freshman |
Major -
Exercise Science |
Coach’s
Comments: Having
played point, Ebony brings tremendous court awareness and vision with her
game which she uses to get her teammates involved. She is adept at handling
the ball and her quickness and ability to apply full court pressure will be
an asset to the aggressive, up-tempo style of play we like to use.

#22 Jenna Donaldson
|
| 5'11
Forward |
Auburn, IN/DeKalb HS
|
| Junior |
Major -
Entrepreneurial Small Business |
Coach’s
Comments:
Jenna backed
up a solid freshman season with an even better sophomore year. As a junior,
she will be one of the top returning offensive players in the conference. She has worked hard this summer to improve her conditioning and her
defensive ability. If she can raise her total game another level, she will
be a strong contender for the Conference Player of the Year award.

 |
#24 Brittney Bateman
|
| 5'5
Guard |
Lagrange, IN/Lakeland HS
|
| Junior |
Major -
Secondary Math Education |
Coach’s
Comments:
Brittney did
a great job of stepping into a starting position last season. She used her
quickness and defensive prowess to contain the opponent’s point guard and
she more than doubled her offensive output from her freshman season. She
has a tremendous work ethic that will not only help her continue to improve
her game, but will also be a wonderful example for the freshman class.

#25 Brandi Gower
|
| 5'2
Guard |
Huntington, IN/Huntington North
HS
|
|
Freshman |
Major -
Nursing |
Coach’s
Comments:
After taking
a year off from basketball, Brandi decided that she missed it and is looking
forward to getting back on the floor. She brings tremendous quickness and
good ball handling skills with her game. She also has some long-range
shooting potential that will be an asset as she continues to develop
consistency with it.

#32 Brita Kuiper
|
| 5'8
G/F |
Bellevue, MI/Olivet HS
|
|
Freshman |
Major -
Nursing |
Coach’s
Comments:
Brita’s work
ethic, talent and court sense will make her an early contributor for us. She is relentless on the boards and has a scorer’s mentality. Her
versatility also will make her a valuable addition to the program. She
comes from a successful program and knows how hard you have to work and the
sacrifices you have to make to win consistently.

#33 Haleigh Osborne
|
| 5'11
Center |
Bluffton, IN/Bluffton
|
|
Freshman |
Major -
Elementary Education |
Coach’s
Comments: Haleigh has a lot of
untapped potential. Her size, which will increase our depth in the post, is
a welcomed addition to the roster. She is a very strong and physical player
who rebounds well. Her game will reap the benefits of playing against other
posts every day in practice, something she didn’t have the luxury of in high
school.

#52 Courtney Beerbower
|
| 5'10
Forward |
Auburn, IN/DeKalb HS
|
| Junior |
Major -
Elementary & Special Education |
Coach’s
Comments:
Last season, Courtney had a breakout year as our starting center. She was
an instrumental part of the team’s success and especially helped us get off
to a great start averaging 17 points and seven rebounds through our first
nine games. She gained a lot of experience and confidence from her efforts
which should help her be even more consistent and productive this season.
