10.26.04 - Sarah Kaufman, a freshman from Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Central High School), was named Mid-Central Conference and NAIA Region VIII Player of the Week for the week of October 18-24.  Kaufman scored all four of the Foresters’ goals during the week to help lead the team to a 1-1 record.  In Huntington’s 3-2 loss to Indiana Wesleyan University, Kaufman’s two goals were the most allowed by the Wildcats’ keeper in eight Mid-Central Conference (MCC) matches.  In the Foresters’ second game of the week, a 2-0 upset win over #3-seeded Bethel College in the MCC tournament, Kaufman scored a goal in each half to lead Huntington to the program’s first-ever tournament victory.  Huntington is currently 8-8 on the season and next travel to #2-seeded Spring Arbor University on Wednesday, October 27 for the 2:00 p.m. semi-finals of the MCC Tournament.
