9.14.04 - The Foresters scored two goals before giving up one to the Anderson University Ravens, but were able to hold on for the 2-1 win. HC got on the board early with a goal by Kara Fultz assisted by Sarah Kaufman at the 11 minute mark. Neither team was able to generate much offense the rest of the half until Kara Fultz earned a penalty kick at the 30 minute mark. Unfortunately Fultz's shot went wide left and the half ended at 1-0. In the second half, quick thinking by Mindy Sincler led to HC’s second goal in the 50th minute. Sincler quickly took a direct free kick before the Ravens were able to get organized and was able to find the back of the net. Anderson responded with a goal of its own in the 59th minute, but could not come up with the equalizer. "I’m really proud of how our team played today," said Coach Datema.  "Anderson proved to be an awkward match-up for us, but I thought we played with composure and got the job done." The Foresters had 11 shots on goal to just 5 for the Ravens, and had two corner kicks to just one for Anderson.  With the win, the women move to 2-3 on the season
