9.7.04 - The Indiana Tech Warriors scored a goal in each half while holding the Foresters scoreless to take the 2-0 win. Tech's Gina Shultz struck in the 7th minute to give Indiana Tech the 1-0 lead, and then just four minutes into the second half, Kara Walker put the game out of reach with the Warrior's second goal of the game. Indiana Tech took 33 shots on goal to HC's 20 and had seven corner kicks to just five for the Foresters.  "Indiana Tech takes a lot of shots, but most of them are from distance and cause little trouble," said Coach Datema. "The two goals they scored were off hustle plays and that pretty much summed up the game. They challenge for every ball and it paid off for them. Amanda Borders had a good game on defense for us filling in for the injured Christi Shook. Amanda held her own against some very good strikers."  The Foresters fall to 1-2 on the season.
