The
NAIA Region VIII announced its All-Region women's soccer honors for
the 2005 year. HU sophomore forward, Sarah Kaufman was selected
as a member of the First Team. Kaufman, who also earned
MCC All-Conference honors, led the team in scoring with
17 goals. She also holds the school record for most goals in a
career with 32 to date.
Indiana Wesleyan senior Erin Marcum was named the Region VIII Player
of the Year. Joining Marcum and Kaufman on the First Team were
Roxanne Rudrick (Indiana Wesleyan), Stacey Rider (St. Francis),
Heather Weddle (St. Francis), Julie Turner (Madonna), Grace Kelly
(Cornerstone), Janelle Demchak (Indiana Wesleyan), Nicole Clausing (St. Francis),
Lacey Catarino (Madonna), Megan Bauhof (Spring Arbor), Rachel Gerdin
(Indiana Wesleyan), Kendra Schenck (St. Francis), and Kelly Japowicz
(Madonna). Indiana Wesleyan's
John Bratcher was named Region VIII Coach of the Year. |
