10.17.06 - On a water logged field in Louisville, Ky, the Foresters completed their 2006 season with a loss 3-1 loss to Spalding University.

HU scored first but a questionable offside call took away the Foresters' chance to hold the early advantage. HU then gave up three consecutive goals in the first half, but were unable to find the back of the net themselves in the period. "We were really affected by the condition of the field, but we continued to play a physical brand of soccer and I hope we take that into next season," said Coach Sharpe.

HU played better defensively in the second and scored midway through the half as Bethany McGraw scored off a nice pass from Ashley Gonterman. "Having Ashley up front the last few games really helped us offensively. Both our seniors, Robyn and Ashley, worked very hard this year and we will really miss them next year."

With the loss the women conclude their season with a 2-14 record and a ninth place finish in the MCC with an 0-8 mark.
